We are not the least bit Irish (like not even the tiniest percentage of a percent), but the leprechaun (is there only one like Santa or the Easter Bunny?) brought the girls something little last year (thanks to Dean for revealing that those "gold" coins were actually Mexican money...), due in part to the elaborate leprechaun traps the girls constructed last year. I mean, it's bad enough not to catch a leprechaun in such carefully constructed traps. The least we could do was make it seem like the girls had come CLOSE to catching one.
This year Sadie was prepared with a crafty request (pictured above): She left a note taped to her bedroom door instructing the leprechaun to please give her a million gold.
The leprechaun (aka me) left a crafty note in return suggesting that he was too wee to carry that much gold.
Sadie found the note this morning and decided that next year she is going to ask for just five gold coins.
Sigh. So much for outsmarting the four-year-old.
Does anyone know where a person can get gold coins these days?
