I think this might be one of the most beautiful things I have ever seen--a Valentine's card from Ella to Sadie. In it, she says (and note that I did take liberties here to correct the spelling), "I love you because you love to play with me and you always are there for me. You are the best. I love you a lot. I love that you play with me. I also love you because your favorite color is aqua."
I love this. It makes every sleepless night and every fight and every tantrum so worth it. I also think: how extraordinary to be loved for having aqua as a favorite color!
