Boyfriends and Up All Night

First things first. Ella has a new best friend, M. Apparently, as early as *preschool*, the children pair off into "best friends." M and E are best friends. M also happens to be a very cute little boy. Of course, two of Ella's other best friends are boys too. Which is funny when you consider how girly she is.

Anyhow, we were at the pumpkin patch last weekend, and Ella got this far-off look on her face. I asked her what was up. She said, "Oh. Just thinking about M."

Meanwhile, M's mom reports that while shopping yesterday, M wanted to buy Ella a super fancy party dress, telling his mother that Ella would look so pretty in it.

Oh dear. Here we go...already?!

At the same time, our other daughter is also exhibiting teenage (or newborn!!) behavior of the stay-up-all-night variety. Granted, she is sick. But I am too old to go with this little sleep.

So. Tired.
