In the meantime, I talked Dean into running an 8K with me on Sunday, which ended up becoming a 5K because of weather conditions. It was icy and slushy, and people were slipping and falling all over the course. And running through snow is no picnic. And yet, I had a blast. These things are so much fun. Dean had fun too. Better yet, we managed to avoid wiping out.
Strangely enough, Sadie has developed an obsession with N, the nanny who mysteriously disappeared. She keeps asking where N went and saying that she thinks N might be sad. Weird.
And while we are talking about our nannies, I'll just add that K is doing wonderfully, and the girls adore her. She reminds me of L in some ways, and that can only be a good thing!
In Other News
Ella had her first parent/teacher conference and got her first report card. She did so well! Her teacher reports that Ella loves school, plays well with others, and is a great listener. She got several "excellents" on her report card, with the rest all "satisfactory." Go Ella!
But that's not all. After only one session of swimming lessons, Ella has been promoted to "Eel"! She is doing so well and learning so quickly!
A few photos of the girls:
