"App-ily" Ever After

Dean and I celebrated our anniversary by taking the girls apple picking. [You don't even want to know what we were charged for a giant bag of apples.] We went to this place about an hour north--a different place than we went last year. Next year, we'll go back to the first place because this year's place was a RIP OFF. But the girls had fun. They went on a train ride and saw various farm animals. They played in this large park area with playground equipment and a train and a cow maze. Then we went to pick apples. It didn't take long for both girls to get into the spirit of things. Before long, Sadie was walking around the apple trees saying "apple. pick. pull."

We ended up with a TON of apples. The girls sort of helped me make apple crisp later in the day. [Honestly, Sadie's brand of help isn't altogether helpful.] It was a fun but exhausting outing. And I can't think of a better way to celebrate six years of marriage than doing something special with the chicks.
