Snow Day

Into every life a little snow must fall. Or, in our case, a LOT of snow. So much snow that school was cancelled--much to Ella's utter dismay.

It was 7:30. I hadn't had coffee or breakfast yet, and the girls were going nuts. How were we ever going to make it to 6:00 P.M.?

Answer? Play date x 2. As it turned out, A and C (Ella's life-long friends from upstairs) didn't have school either. Then M's mom called. Play date? Count us in!

And that is how we ended up with four preschoolers, one toddler, and a very friendly dog at our house. It's also the story of how we killed two hours with good old-fashioned, nontelevision-watching fun.
